Frequently Asked Questions:
Is this different from a premade mood board?
Yes, absolutely. A pre-made mood board is usually created around a general look, style, or room idea.
Our eDesign service is created specifically for you — your home, your measurements, your style, your budget, your priorities, and any existing pieces you want us to work with.
Instead of giving you a general design direction, we create a thoughtful plan for your actual space, similar to the way we approach our in-home design projects, but in a more flexible format that doesn’t require full-service design or in-person project management.
You still get our designer eye, our guidance, and a plan made for your home — just in a way that lets you bring it to life at your own pace.
Do we meet with you during the process?
Yes! This is a guided, collaborative design experience — you won’t be left trying to figure everything out on your own.
We’ll meet with you on Zoom to walk through your design plan together, talk through the selections, layout direction, and details behind the design, and answer any questions you have along the way.
Your feedback is an important part of the process, too. We want the final design to feel beautiful, thoughtful, and truly right for your home, so we’ll gather your input and make refinements as included in your plan before everything is finalized.
Do you help with implementation?
Yes. Once your design is finalized, you’ll have a clear plan to follow, complete with shopping links, layout direction, and styling guidance so you can start bringing the room together at a pace that feels right for you.
And you won’t have to do that part completely alone. Your plan also includes an implementation guidance call, where we can talk through your next steps, answer questions, and help you feel confident as you begin ordering, placing, styling, and making the space come to life.
Do you recommend paint colors or wallpaper?
Yes, when it feels right for the design, we can absolutely include paint color recommendations and wallpaper options as part of your room plan.
Because paint and wallpaper can look a little different depending on your lighting, time of day, and the materials already in your space, we’ll always encourage you to test samples in your home before making a final decision.
That extra step helps make sure the color, pattern, and overall feel are truly right for your room before you purchase or install anything.
Do I have to buy everything at once?
No, not at all. Your design plan is meant to give you a clear direction, but you can bring it to life at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Many clients choose to purchase in phases, using the final plan as their guide so the room still feels cohesive as it comes together over time.
Because product availability can change, we can’t guarantee how long each recommended item will stay in stock. But if something becomes unavailable, we’re happy to provide replacement options for up to 90 days from the date your final deliverables are sent.
Can you work within my budget?
Yes. Before we begin, we’ll ask about your preferred investment range so we can design and source with your budget in mind from the start.
We’re thoughtful about where it makes sense to splurge and where it makes sense to save, so your room feels beautiful, balanced, and realistic for the investment you’re comfortable making.
And if we feel your budget may not align with the scope of the room or the look you’re hoping to achieve, we’ll be honest about that before we begin. We never want you to feel surprised, stretched, or unsure — our goal is to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Can you work with pieces I already own?
Yes, absolutely. We know that a home isn’t built from all-new pieces — sometimes there are items you love, pieces with special meaning, or things you simply want to keep.
If you have existing furniture, artwork, decor, or other pieces you’d like us to consider, we’ll review them as part of the design process and include them whenever we can in a way that supports the overall direction of the room.
Our goal is to help your space feel beautiful and cohesive while still feeling personal to you.
Do you offer product discounts?
When we’re able to offer a discount through one of our vendors, we’re always happy to pass that along on recommended pieces.
Discount availability varies by vendor and item, so it’s not something we can guarantee for every selection. But we do keep your overall budget in mind as we source, and we’re thoughtful about recommending pieces that make sense for your space, your style, and the investment you’re comfortable making.
Our first priority is always creating the best design for your home — and when we can help you save along the way, we absolutely will.
Is this available outside of our local area?
Yes — That is what is so great about eDesign! Our eDesign service is completed virtually, which means we can work with clients outside of our local service area.
As long as you’re able to share photos, measurements, inspiration, and a few details about your space, we can create a thoughtful design plan for your home and guide you through the process from wherever you are.
