While Hanna earned an MBA in healthcare administration, Tracey spent 16 years in real estate. Though both paths provided valuable industry experience, we longed for something more creative and fulfilling. This led Hanna to pursue an interior design certification, and with our shared passion for design, we launched our retail brand, Birch & Bind.

Hi, I'm Hanna! I'm so glad you're here! A little bit about me-
After studying Holistic Health in college and earning my MBA in Healthcare Management, I later recognized that my true passion lies in interior design, which led me to pursue my interior designer certification and begin my business journey with the best partner of all- My mom! Together, we started our crazy, beautiful businesses, and here we are!
I could have felt like my time in Healthcare was a waste, but what I came to realize is that I could use my mental health awareness AND my passion for design to create calming and beautiful spaces. Because at Hanna Mae Design Studio, we believe that the way a space makes you feel is entirely essential to your well-being.
On a more personal note, I recently married my high school sweetheart on the island of Oahu, and we have two mini doodles together, Ollie and Opal!

I handle the behind-the-scenes details—design rendering, ordering, tracking, follow up, and customer service—ensuring every project runs smoothly. The best part? I get to work with my talented daughter every day, helping bring warmth, beauty, and joy into your home through thoughtful design. It’s truly a dream job, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
